A historic gem with warm hosts
Our stay at Morgan and Wells was unforgettable. Melanie and Derrick treated us like family, sharing stories about the charming property while we enjoyed a breakfast to savor. The chef's dishes were exceptional, with local ingredients crafted with care.
However, the temperature in our room was uncomfortably warm, making it difficult for us to sleep well. We needed the window unit to cool down and wished for more privacy with better window coverings.

The street noise might be bothersome at night!!! The privacy shades needed improvement to avoid onlookers from peering in during the day!!! Temperatures in the rooms felt uncomfortably warm for relaxation!!!

staying here was such a great experience, as the charming restored home felt welcoming and was just a short walk of about 900 meters to the Earl Scruggs Center and the Cleveland County Arts Council, allowing me to easily immerse myself in the local culture and art scene during my city strolls.

It’s super close to Deer Brook Golf Club and Baker Buffalo Creek Vineyard, which made for fun days out. Melanie and Derrick were welcoming and gave us great tips on local attractions. Breakfast was some of the best we’ve had. definitely don’t miss it!
The only downside was the room's warmth at night. we needed a fan for comfort. Some privacy shades would be a nice touch for better tranquility.
